A landslide occurred at Chelamukku in Vanimel Grama Panchayat following continuous heavy rainfall. A portion of the hillside adjoining the house of Moithu at Vadiyar Kunnumal collapsed, uprooting nearby trees. The preliminary assessment suggests that prolonged rainfall saturated the soil and triggered the landslide. The incident has raised concerns about possible further soil movement as the rain continues. Details of any damage to the house have not yet been reported.
