നാദാപുരം: രാജ്യത്തെ കോടിക്കണക്കിന് പാവപ്പെട്ട തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ ഉപജീവനമാർഗമായ മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി ദേശീയ ഗ്രാമീണ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് പദ്ധതി ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള നീക്കത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ പിന്മാറണമെന്ന് ദേശീയ കർഷക തൊഴിലാളി യൂണിയൻ (ഡി.കെ.ടി.എഫ്) നാദാപുരം നിയോജകമണ്ഡലം കൺവെൻഷൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലയിലെ സാധാരണക്കാരുടെയും കർഷകത്തൊഴിലാളികളുടെയും പ്രധാന വരുമാനമാർഗങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് പദ്ധതി സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ അടിയന്തര നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്നും കൺവെൻഷൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ കുടിശ്ശിക പിടിച്ചുവെച്ച മുൻ എൽ.ഡി.എഫ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ നടപടിയെ കൺവെൻഷൻ വിമർശിച്ചു. കുടിശ്ശിക അനുവദിച്ച യു.ഡി.എഫ് സർക്കാരിനെ കൺവെൻഷൻ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

The Nadapuram constituency convention of the National Agricultural Workers’ Union (DKTF) urged the Centre to withdraw moves aimed at weakening the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. It said the programme is a vital source of income for poor workers and demanded urgent steps to protect it. The convention also criticised the previous LDF government for withholding wage arrears and praised the UDF government for releasing them.
